MAS Immigration | Migrate and Settle

Visitor Visa

It permits a visitor to stay in Canada for a limited time. Unless your passport has an expiry date indicated by a stamp, handwritten date, or document, it usually lasts up to 6 months. A single-entry or multiple-entry visa is available. If you can show that you will not break the visa regulations, the Canadian Consulate may grant you a visa with a very extended validity period – up to ten years.

There are over 80 provincial immigration streams and it can be difficult to determine for which stream are you eligible.

There are different purposes of staying such as tourism, study, business, family visits, and so forth. Once the term of your stay expires, you have to leave the country. If you want to stay longer, then you need to go through the necessary procedures to change the status of a permanent visa before your present temporary visa expires. Visas are required for visitors from countries that do not have a visa exemption or an Electronic Travel Authorization agreement with Canada. To put it another way, 148 countries require a visa to visit, work, or immigrate to Canada.
