Prince Edward Island

Since the “Charlottetown conference” — which led to the country’s foundation — took place on the island’s capital in 1864, Prince Edward Islands is known as “the birthplace of Canada.” Not only is the island province known for its rich farmland and gorgeous coastlines, but it also has a thriving economy based on agriculture, tourism, and fishing. In the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Prince Edward Island is west of Cape Breton Island, north of the Nova Scotia peninsula, and east of New Brunswick. The Northumberland Strait is on its southern shore. The island is home to two urban centers and is Canada’s most densely populated province.
