Ontario
Nearly 40% of Canadians live in Ontario, which is the country’s most populous province. Ottawa, Canada’s capital, and Toronto, the country’s largest city, are both located in Ontario. Ontario is the economic, social, and political hub of Canada in many aspects. Toronto, the province’s capital, is Canada’s largest and most populated metropolis, with a population of 6 million people. Toronto is also the financial capital of Canada and the home of the stock exchange. About half of Toronto’s residents were born in foreign countries, and the city is known for being the world’s most multicultural city. Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, is also in Ontario and is located in southeastern Ontario. London, Thunder Bay, Hamilton, Kingston, Windsor, and Sudbury are among prominent cities in Ontario.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program(OINP)
The province’s economic immigration policy is known as the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). It collaborates with the Canadian government through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The OINP accepts nominations from foreign workers, international students, and anyone who have the necessary abilities, experience, and education. The OINP identifies and nominates candidates for permanent residence who have the skills and expertise that the Ontario economy requires, and the Government of Canada takes the final decision on whether or not to approve the applications.
